Ways to Detect Bad PTC Sites

I would like to thank simon4u92, my forum mate and the global moderator of PTCTalk for these guides about PTC programs that clickers should look into them first before they venture the PTC world. I should post about a review of TakeTheGlobe but I’m giving priority on this as this is really a must-to-see guides or tips on how to neither spot nor detect bad new sites from the good ones. However, there's no assurance that those programs completely dressed with the following will not turn out scam or there's a guarantee that they are trusted, legit and paying sites. Just remember PTC programs are also as risky as HYIP and Forex. If you're going to join any PTC programs and invest with it through upgrade of membership and buying referrals it's solely depends on you. So good luck!

1. Sites with Free Hosts and Free Domains

Sites pop up with free hosts like webspacemania, 000webhost, etc. and with free domains like websitename.co.cc, websitename.tk, websitename.co.nr, etc. should be avoided. If the owner can’t afford to get a good hosting, should be dedicated and a good domain name, how can you expect him to pay you in the long run. Example: ExcellentBux which started off with a free host and ultimately turned out a scam.

2. Sites with the Default Design

Every script have their own default design. As an example, YourOwnBux scripts have a white layout and AdBux script has a grayish layout and so on. If the owner doesn’t have his own creativity to get a good design or at least hire someone to do the job how can you be assured that he is trustworthy of paying you and other members. Examples: WolfBux.in, GoodBux, Buxit, Bux-it and 5Buxs they all turned out scams.

3. Sites with No Forum and No Support

Sites that don’t have forums and any other means of Support System other than the contact page should not be trusted. This clearly shows the owner and/or admin doesn’t want to interact with his users, attend complaints on technical/any kind of problems with their site, you can never expect him/her to be hanging around for a long while. And you will have the least chances of getting paid. Examples: 5Buxs.cn and ExcellentBux.

4. Sites with Bugs

Generally pre-made scripts like the Bux.to clone and YourOwnBux has built-in bugs in them. Found any bug in the script, the most found bug Referral Bug. Verify it with someone who has already signed up before you if the site has a referral bug or not and then you can try your luck. If owner can’t fix a small bug or can’t hire a coder to fix a minor bug, how can you trust him to pay its users? Joining such a program is purely a waste of time.

5. Read TOS/FAQ/Privacy Policy

Read the TOS/FAQ/Privacy Policy before joining a site. Scams generally don’t update them since they are lazy. They just copied it from other site that is why sometime you will notice that the name of the original site is still there. You should not join such kind of program. If the owner is too lazy to update few details the more lazy he should be when it comes to paying his users.

6. The Figures, Do they add up?

Sustainability in a site is a key factor in the success or failure of a PTC site. Without the ability for the site to be sustainable on the sale of advertising alone, the site is classified as a Ponzi scheme. Ponzi Schemes are programs which function based solely on the sale of upgrades and referrals, once the referrals and upgrade sales stop, the payments stop too. That is why it is key to making sure the site is sustainable.
For example if a site pays $0.01 per click then the maximum amount of money they would have to pay to people for a 1000 click ad is $20 ($10 from the person clicking plus $10 for referral clicks). If what they are selling 1,000 click ads for only say $8 then they are making a $12 loss per 1,000 click ads someone buys. It should be noted that sustainability through pricing applies mainly to bux-style scripts. Also it is important to know the number of the self sponsored ads. Many sites (example: 07bux) are running with 100% self sponsored ads. That means lack of advertisers and site has to be based only in referral packs and upgrades. Aurora's are a different and more successful business model.
