Ways to Generate Traffic or Visitors to your Site

1) Comment on Blogs

Look for large traffic Blogs in your niche, visit them and leave your comments on their blogs posts. To find blogs you may use blog search engine like www.blogsearchengine.com, www.google.com/blogsearch and www.searchengineblog.com.

2) Submit Articles

Write articles that are related to your blog and submit them to popular article directories such as articledashboard.com, goarticle.com, articlealley.com, isnare.com, and ezinearticles. Articles that possessed good qualities may drive you a lot of free targeted traffic.

3) Participate in Forums

You should google for the word "sign up forum". Google will report about a hundred forums or more and then look for forums that have over 10,000 members. Read their TOS and/or rules before signing up to see whether you can promote your blogs or websites, and/or allow you to add a link of them in the signature. Try to participate in discussions where you can ask questions, answer other members questions and post articles based on your ideas and thought in the forums. Examples of big forums are talkgold.com,goldage.net, hyipdiscussion.com and moneymakergroup.com. And, if you are very fond of PTC you may join forums such as gptworld.org, ptctalk.com/forum and theptcforum.com.

4) Submit Your Blog to Search Engines or Directories

Lot of bloggers used this by submitting their url to search engines such as yahoo and google and got tremendous results as far as traffic is concerned. If the two search engines didn't go well for you then try http://freesubmission.com where you can find lot of search engines to choose from.

5) Post Often

If you have time enough to make 5 posts a week then do it. You can lose traffic if you seldom update you blog. This not only maintains your traffic but it might attract lot of readers as well.

6) Blogging

Blogs can change lives. Now, blogging is a billion dollar industry. So, you must write helpful and quality articles that can attract other bloggers to link on your articles. It will surely gain more traffic and generate revenue.

7) Social Bookmarking

Bookmark you blog posts in the large social bookmarking sites. There are too many to mention, but what I can give you is a site like Digg.com and Netscape.com. Use Google search to find more.

8) Run a Contest

I have seen lot of blogs running a contest on their page. This is a good idea as it generates more traffic and/or visitors more especially if the prize involves a certain amount of cash or quality article or good.

9) Optimize Your Site

Optimizing your site is essential to generate traffic and convert that traffic to needed revenue. Make sure your blog's title tag and description tag contain your targeted keywords. When you have posted plenty of quality blog post and done a lot of blog promotion, your page ranking increases and eventually your earnings also increases.

10) Advertise on GPT Sites

This step is the most effective and a hundred percent sure traffic surges to your blog when you advertise on any popular GPT sites. However, If you have google adsense on your blogs this step is not possible as it against Google Adsense Policies to make advertisement at any paid to click, paid to read, paid to surf, autosurf and any click-exchange programs. But since I don't have adsense unit here, so I am free to use this step and make use of my earnings balance on various GPT programs by converting them into ads.
